description
Mangosteen is a small, round fruit, with a thick, purple-brown rind and with a distinct floral fragrance. Once you crack open the outer shell, you’ll find succulent, ivory-coloured segments arranged like a delicate mandala. It is juicy, sweet, and has a pleasing tangy flavour. We often eat mangosteen after eating durian as it is said to ‘cool’ the ‘heaty-ness’ of durian.
